Like the others Jul 17, 2010

Like so many of the others who have written a review on these clubs... I am a fan. I golfed on and off over the years renting or barrowing clubs. I finally convinced my wife I needed a hobby. I was determined to find something to do with my time and get some outside air. Golf... But, I suck! Either way I started making a list of exactly what I wanted to achieve. I don't want to be a pro, I just want to hang with my friends, drink some beers and have some fun. So, I did not want to blow a large amount of coin on a $500.00-$1000.00 set like some of my friends, but I wanted to still look good and have some sort of game (middle of the road). I spent months checking out the internet and local golf shops and I found these. They came in quick, and I was pleased. The bag was great, the clubs were great, and it was indeed a full set. I have had these clubs for over a year and I have been to the driving range down the street and on the course with friends quite a bit. They are still holding strong! Absolutely no issues. Some of my friends who have more luxurious clubs even like the feel of these clubs and I have received surprising complements, weird!? Anyway, they are aces! I still have the original driver, however I changed mine this year, but only because my friend sold me a driver at a price I could not turn down. Everything else is as is. Very pleased.

What a bargain Jul 06, 2010

I hit a friends earlier in the week. What I found enticing about these clubs were that they were well constructed and made to do exactly what the manufacturer intended: forgiveness (wonderful draw spin on well connected hits) and an almost soft feel once the ball was hit. Great appearance as well as a complete package was interesting as one will not see too many sets this complete and this good at that price (not to mention Callaway had bought out top flite and they inserted their technology into the clubs...go them). If you are a beginner too, you will be reaping the benefits of awesome distance as the ball goes a great distance.

The downside was trying to shape a fade shot...It was very hard..little to no fade or a complete slice...those two extremes. Maybe too much distance.

IMO these clubs are great if you really are just starting out...if you hit the ball well already...they are still nice and feel great but im not a fan of getting too much distance with out the workability of my blade irons...example:

Mizuno MP 32 8 iron: 175-9 yrds able to draw, fade, sit Top Flite 8 iron: 230+ yrds, draw draw draw...no fade

All in all, this is a great set up and id recommend it to any beginning golfer: get yours today

good first set Jun 10, 2010

so i decided to take up golf. as i shopped for clubs, i found these at a good price with good reviews. when they arrived i was very happy. everything looked neat and tidy in the bag. i have been playing with them for a few months now, and have been more than happy. they are perhaps a bit short for me(almost 6' tall) as i tend to have to bend over a bit uncomfortably when using these. i have now played with better clubs, and they do make a difference, but starting out, these were perfect.

Decent. May 20, 2010

Plus: Price! Irons, Wedges, Hybrids, the putter. Have played with these for a short year, and find it a good beginners set. The irons are suprisngly good to play with. My fav is the wedges. I have played good on the green with the putter. Even these days, I am bringing this putter AND my Odyssey White Ice...

Minus: The bag. It does it's job and is lightweight. Looks and feels a bit cheap. MAybe because it is? Woods - these are actually not too easy to hit perfect with. And when you do it don't launch, just plays average. The Driver - "the slicemaster". I am a beginner, but after I changed to a better driver, my slices was reduced to manageble. With the driver here, not a chance.

Total a decent product for the beginner and the occasional golfer for a bargain price.

not bad but a little pricy compared to Wilson Apr 12, 2010

I decided to start over with a complete set of new clubs since my existing ones were a mish mash collection of misfit clubs with variying reaction play. I have only had them since last season but so far, I am fairly happy with them. I think for the money, the grips should be more durable and the bag constucted stronger. I can see where the seem is starting to spread open a bit at some high stess parts. The seem to hit pretty well though and they have improved my game a bit.
